In this episode, Meghan and Colleen discuss Anne Hathaway, horse girls, and getting your boyfriend confused with your father while knitting them a gift…as well as the actual contents of The Secret of Shadow Ranch (1965)!

Also, to balance out this book’s appropriation of indigenous culture and dress, we’d like to recommend The Brave by James Bird, a great middle-grade novel that tackles such topics as OCD, indigenous heritage, and death, while also being incredibly well-written and downright hilarious at times. Also, Colleen would like it to be known that when George Fayne was first mentioned and described, Colleen’s partner burst out into a spontaneous rendition of Chappell Roan’s “The Giver.”
